John W. Vanderveen

John W. Vanderveen, 93, devoted husband, father and grandfather, passed away Sept. 1, 2018. He proudly worked for IBM as a customer engineer for 42 years. He enjoyed sailing, bicycling, reading and world traveling. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of over 60 years, Frances. He is survived by his daughters, Joan Vanderveen Gage and Barbara (Jim) Hoppins and granddaughter, Rachel Hoppins. His visitation will be held on Sun. Sept. 9, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 7 p.m. at Resthaven Mortuary. His Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Mon. Sept. 10, 2018 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 861 N Socora St, Wichita, KS 67212.
