She grew up in Hurst, TX, until the family moved to Derby, KS, her freshman year. While in school she was involved in debate, band, and varsity volleyball. In 1989, she graduated from Derby High School and attended Kansas State University.
In 1991, she married; later that same year her son Tyler was born. Jennifer Jones was a woman whose presence commanded attention when she walked into a room. Her drive and determination made her into the very successful businesswoman she was throughout the next 20 years.
She was an avid reader; passionate about travel, journaling, gardening, drawing, collecting art, and volunteered extensively for various charitable organizations. Recently Jennifer worked with retired law enforcement through the Blue365Project.
Over the past 12 years, her loyal dog Bailey was always by her side.
Jennifer is survived by her son, Tyler Tanha; her dad, Ronald Bruce Jones; her mom, Margie Mendoza-Jones; sister, Cyndi Pearce; nieces, Alexie and Averie Pearce; extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Saturday, July 13, with family present.
Celebration of Life Memorial Service 3:00 p.m., Saturday, July 20.
Both services will be held at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th Street North, Wichita, KS 67206.
Jennifer will be inurned in the family plot at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Fort Worth, TX, at a later date.
