Jim was a wonderful husband to Barbara (Schaefer) Powell for 57 years. He was previously employed at USD 259.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; brothers, Jack (Margaret) Powell of Florida, Richard (Cindy) Powell of Kansas, and William (Cindy) Powell of Arkansas; sisters, Helen Wariner of California, Joyce Bergbom of California, Pamela (Melvin) Cook of Indiana, and sister-in-law, Diane Brooks of Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 11, 2022. Committal will follow immediately and take place at Ascension Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate in Jim's memory to either Good Shepherd Hospice or St. Anthony Catholic Church.
