Gregory E. Schultz, age 65, died Friday, June 10, 2016. Greg was born on January 7, 1951, in Avellino, Italy. At the age of six, Greg was adopted by Eugene Emerson and Aurelia Elizabeth (Benoit) Schultz. On September 9, 1978, he married Janice Marie Johnson at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wichita, Kansas. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps as Lance Corporal from September 15, 1969 through July 14, 1973. Greg worked for 30 years in the aircraft industry; first at Boeing until his early retirement 10 years ago as a tool and dye maker and then at Spirit as a sheet metal mechanic. Greg was preceded in death by his father, Eugene E. Schultz. Survivors include: wife of 37 years, Janice Marie (Johnson) Schultz; children, Anthony Schultz, Angela and husband, John Ramirez; mother, Aurelia Schultz; grandchildren, Deanna, Sophia, Kyson, Dominic, and Amaya, all of Wichita; siblings, Jimmy and wife, Virginia McMurtray, Nacogdoches, Texas, Randy and wife, Sheila Schultz, Melinda Manahan, all of Wichita. Recitation of the Rosary 7 p.m. Tuesday; funeral mass 10 a.m. Wednesday, both at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 201 S. Millwood. Burial will follow with military honors provided by the U.S. Marine Corps at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Wichita. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with St. Joseph Catholic Church, 201 S. Millwood, Wichita, KS 67203.
