Gregory Gettle

Gettle, Gregory L., 40, loving son, brother, friend and devoted father passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2016. Greg spent nearly 20 years with Chance Rides Mfg. starting in the fiberglass shop and later as a painter. He painted parts for rides all over the world. He was a master of his craft. His expertise was in painting the Lexan scenery for the various rides. Co-workers describe him as the “go to” man when you wanted something done and done right. Greg was a humble man and never bragged except when it came to his pride and joy, son Nathan. He and Nathan loved to spend time together camping in the RV, playing video games, building Legos and going to movies. Greg was an avid Denver Broncos fan and watched nearly every game with his close buddies. Although we are saddened that he will not be with us to watch the Super Bowl game this Sunday, we know he’ll have the best seat in the house! Greg is preceded in death by his father, William I. Gettle Sr. and step-father, Raymond E. Thomas. He is survived by his mother, Judy A. Thomas (Eric Menne); son, Nathan Gettle; siblings, Bill I. Gettle, Kevin W. (Kristi) Thomas, Kristi K. (Mike) Latimer. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 6, 2016 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Reflection Ridge Golf Club, 7700 W. Reflection Rd., Wichita, KS 67205.
