In the 1940's her family moved to Wichita where her father worked for Boeing. In 1950 she graduated from East high school. After she graduated she married and birthed two beautiful children Charles Jr. and Diane.
After her children were born she worked as an Executive secretary until retirement. After working in Oklahoma and in Houston she moved back to Wichita. Glynda enjoyed reading, watching movies, listening to music and attending church.
She was preceded in death by her parents Delmar and Inez Owens, one son Charles Jr., and three sisters Annetta, Barbara, and Sharon.
Survivors include daughter Diane (Ron) Shirley, eight grandchildren Richard , Michael, Shane, and Don Shirley, Crystal Phelps, Tosha Powell, Clay Powell, Cassie Powell and 22 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and one sister Gloria Price.

A visitation will be held Monday July 25,2022 from 2 p.m.- 3 p.m, a funeral service will be held Monday, July 25, 2022 at 3 p.m. with graveside to follow all at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 W. Highway, Wichita, Kansas 67209
