Gale Ray Brown was born on February 13, 1946 in Winfield, Kansas, the son of John Birl and Helen Eileen (Gwin) Brown.
Gale grew up on a farm outside Sedan, Kansas. He attended and graduated from Sedan High School with the class of 1964. After High School, he attended Coffeyville Junior College.
On December 16, 1967, Gale was united in marriage to Mary Margaret “Peggy” Muir in the Coffeyville United Methodist Church.
Gale worked in all different facets of construction before retiring after 40+ years. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fly fishing, using the flies he tied himself.
Preceding Gale in death were his parents, and his brother Robert Brown.
Surviving family members include his loving wife of 55 years, Peggy of their home in Wichita. Their children Scott Brown of Wichita, Jerry Brown and his wife Karen of Andover, KS, and Pam Graber and her husband Brian of Wichita. Surviving grandchildren Hunter Reed, Elizabeth Graber, Gentry Brown, Brooks Brown, and Catherine Graber. Also surviving is his sister Doris Blanche.
