Dawson, Ethel I. “Bird”, died April 16, 2012. Celebration of Life to be held 3:00 pm Friday, April 20th at Resthaven Chapel officiated by Pastor Dale Kelley. Ethel was born January 10, 1919, the youngest of five siblings who have all preceded her, along with her parents. She and her husband were very involved in field trials and The Kansas Brittany Club. In 1979 they won the National Field Trial Championship with their Brittany named “Wan Kan Fellin Free”. She loved all animals and leaves behind her beloved poodle “Pepper”. Preceded in death by daughter Diana Fairbanks, husband D.W. Dawson, and son-in-law Jerry Johnson. Survived by daughter, Pam Johnson and son-in-law Maxx Fairbanks of Wichita. Grandchildren Parker (Joan) Fairbanks, Paige (Matt) Gunn-Fairbanks and 4 great grandchildren, all of AZ and special family friend Deanna Ream of Wichita. In lieu of flowers, memorial established with Kansas Humane Society.
