She was born January 15, 1971 to Alvin Collins and Sherrie Godwin in Wichita, Kansas.
Debbie graduated from South High School, then went on to attend Friends University and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice.
She was a devoted Christian, enjoyed working with children in need and providing mental health counseling for adults and assistance for people with substance abuse disorders.
Debbie is preceded in death by her son, Justin H. Nguyen, and father, Alvin Collins.
She is survived by mother; Sherrie Godwin; sons; Jordan and Jathan Nguyen; brother, John Collins; sister Sheila Porter; 3 grandchildren, Leon, Kairi, Levi and many other relatives and friends.
Services for Debbie will be held Monday, February 19, 2024, with a visitation from 9am to 10am; funeral services at 10am and a committal service will follow. All at Resthaven Mortuary and Gardens of Memory, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209.
