Ross, David E., 62, retired Mod Mechanic from Boeing, went to be with the Lord Nov. 2nd. 2014. David was a member of the Woodlawn United Methodist Church and was a generous and compassionate man. David was a part of the Boy Scout Leadership, he enjoyed word puzzles, traveling, and watching Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe. He enjoyed working in the garden and was considered a work-a-holic. His loves in life were his family, animals, spending time with his grandchildren, ice cream, and at one time his 48’ Harley Chopper. He is survived by his wife, Janice Ross; son, Dustin (Kelly) Ross, siblings, George (Jeri) and Bruce Ross; step-children, Stacey, Brenda, Scott, and Jennifer; grandson, Ethan Kain; aunt Lillian (Colonel Warren Ret.) Schaub as well as numerous other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends. A viewing will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. with family receiving at 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Advantage Funeral Home 4408 W. Central Ave. Wed. Nov. 5th and a funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Nov. 6th at Woodlawn United Methodist Church 431 S. Woodlawn in Derby. Memorials may be made to Kansas Humane Society or to the American Cancer Society.
