Dave graduated from Wichita State University and completed his Master’s at Emporia State University. He was known around the aircraft world as an educator who created and taught courses to pilots and maintenance mechanics. He also was the official photographer for the Veterans Park Board. His pictures can be viewed on the Veteran’s Park website. He belonged to Trinity Lutheran Church, but had many friends at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Immanuel Lutheran Church and Grace Lutheran Church. Dave also always had two dogs who he spoiled. He also supported the Kansas Humane Society.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Ruth Norris and father-in-law, Max Rothgeb.
Dave is survived by his wife of 15 years, Anita Norris; mother-in-law, Carol Rothgeb, brother-in-law, Brian Rothgeb; step son, Jeremy (Jennifer) Tuggle; step grandson, Max Tuggle; as well as many cousins and friends.
Visitation will be available from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday, October 24, 2022 at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th Street N., Wichita, KS 67206.
Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 25, 2022, with visitation one hour prior at Trinity Lutheran Church, 611 S. Erie Street, Wichita, KS 67211. Burial will take place after the church's luncheon at Lakeview Cemetery in the Mausoleum at 2:00 PM.
