96, passed away April 9, 2018. Dale was born February 4, 1922 in Mount Hope, KS to Harry and Nellie Wallace. He attended WSU on a football scholarship. Dale served in the South Pacific in the U.S. Navy during World War II, where he was also a member of the V-12 program. He retired from his banking career at State Bank of Bentley, after 50 years of service to the Wichita area. After retirement, he could often be found golfing at Rolling Hills Country Club. Dale was an active and longtime member of First Presbyterian Church, and was a prominent member of the community and did whatever he could to always give back. He was preceded by his first wife, Margaret Wallace and his second wife, Shirley Wallace; parents and brothers, Duane and Lawrence Wallace. He is survived by daughter, D'Anne (Peter) Horner; sister, Vola Kalenack; grandchildren, Dr. Brent Horner (Rod Keck), Andrew (Dr. Meg) Horner and Clayton Horner (Patrick Prough); and great grandchildren, Christopher and Annabeth Horner.
