Chad Wesley Keene, ‘Rack’ was a husband, son, father, brother, relative and friend to all. He left us all too soon on March 18, 2017 in a violent and tragic accident. He was known to spread laughter and joy among us all, and also remained quite a jokester, wanting us to maintain our sense of humor as we mourn his passing. In fact, he is likely laughing now at how ridiculously we are all longing to have him back and crying tears of sadness for him. A worthy adversary in any game he played, at age 14, he pitched a perfect baseball game and even went on to coach his son, Landon’s, baseball team. Often, he and Landon would go to the SAC museum or the zoo to pass the time. He was also no stranger to a struggle, but with the love and support of his family and phenomenal wife, Courtney, had begun to live a successful, healthy and fulfilled life. He is survived by his wife - Courtney, son - Landon, parents - Bud and Tammy, and sisters - Kendra & Lesley. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers - Donald D. Lyon & Billie W. Keene, and aunt - Terri D. Lyon. We’ll miss you, big guy! Until we meet or dance again... Services will be held at 12-noon on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the Derby Church of Christ, 225 N. Derby Street, Derby, KS 67037. Wake to follow at 13303 E. Equestrian St., Wichita, KS 67230.
