She worked for the Wichita School District for 20 years at North High School and Hadley Middle School.
Cathy is preceded in death by her father Walter Michael Jacobson and mother Lena Lorraine (Schaffer) and stillborn son Ryan Michael.
Cathy is survived by her husband of 43 years, David Engels, her sons; Jeremy (Anna) Engels of State College, Pennsylvania and Nathan (Karen) Engels with grandson Kelton Bruce of Wichita, Kansas. Also brothers; Steve Jacobson of Wichita, Kansas and Ron (Lisette) Jacobson of Wichita, Kansas, and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Cathy will be held Saturday, April 8, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209, followed by a funeral service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
