Cathy Sue Anderson

Cathy Anderson, 57, of Topeka Kansas went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 10, 2021 after a short battle with cancer. Cathy was a 1982 graduate of Northwest High School in Wichita, KS. She married the love of her life, John Anderson on April 8, 1995 and adopted their daughter, Brianna on December 13, 2004. While their daughter Brianna was in Elementary school, Cathy worked as a lunch aid at Farley Elementary school for a few years. Cathy loved being a mother, spending time with family and friends, walks with the family dog, volunteering and at different times in her life singing in her church choir. She volunteered at her church with the children’s programs and with Meals on Wheels. Cathy always had an encouraging word for the boys and girls that she would interact with. She was an avid scrap booker, spending many hours sorting through pictures and creating pages with just the right look. It was also a time she could spend with friends and family to discuss memories. Cathy enjoyed taking vacations and would almost always want to visit a zoo or aquarium wherever the family was at. The highlight of all the trips and vacations though, was the trip to China to adopt their daughter.

She was preceded in death by her birth mother, Linda Klabzuba of Wichita, KS; aunt, Patricia Benoit; uncle, John Fagyal; and brother-in-law, Mark Anderson. Cathy leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, John; daughter, Brianna; father and mother, Bill and Ethel Fagyal of Wichita, KS; step father, Marlin Klabzuba of Wichita, KS; sisters, Julie (James) Felts of Arnold, MO and Michelle (Donald) Snyder of Wichita, KS; half-brother, Brian (Nancy) Klabzuba of Wichita, KS; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Cecil and Shirley Anderson of Enid, OK; sister-in-laws, Debbie (Michael) Bray and Donna Dankert both of Enid, OK; nieces and nephews, Amy (Brett) Gunderson of Wichita, KS, Joel (Karis) Hill of Wichita, KS, Ashley (Denton) Coltrane of Wichita, KS, Janelle Hill of Wichita, KS, Jennifer (Joshua) Hill of Pevely, MO, Chelsey (Zac) Everhart of Wichita, KS, Jason Goetz of Wichita, KS, Kelsi Klabzuba of Wichita, KS, Stephanie Cunningham of Enid OK, Manual Rangel of Tampa, FL, Andrew (Lety) Rangel of Enid OK, Anthony Rangel of Enid OK and Alicia (Cody) Green of Enid OK; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, great nieces and great nephews.

Cathy’s husband John, has asked in lieu of flowers, memorials in Cathy's memory be made to Lifeline Children’s Services for the Hope Adoption Fund, 100 Missionary Ridge, Birmingham, AL 35242.
