Max was born April 8, 1939 to Glenn Butts and Arepha (Wallace) Butts. He had an older sister, Carolyn, and spent his younger years on farms in Oklahoma making many fond memories that lasted his whole life.
He served in the United States Army from 1962 - 1968.
He married Sharon Kay (Marty) on December 23, 1963, in Salina, Kansas. They had one daughter born in 1968. They lived in Conway Springs and Wichita, Kansas, where they shared many joys, sorrows, and blessings for 58 years. They loved God, family, country music, and college basketball.
Max was employed as a welder for Koch Industries for 38 years.
He is survived by daughter, Tina and son-in-law Derrek Burrows; three grandchildren, Christopher Burrows, Westley Burrows, and Kayley Burrows; his sister, Carolyn Leach of Fairland Oklahoma; two nieces; and friends.
Max was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon; parents; and granddaughter, Ester Burrows.
Funeral service with Military Funeral Honors for Max will be held 12:00PM, January 30, 2023 with visitation two hours prior, both being held at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th Street N., Wichita, Kansas 67206.
