Bert Lee Bonham, age 82 passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022. Bert was born March 15, 1939 to Pearl Dewey and Donis Dee Bonham in Red Rock, Oklahoma. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Bert proudly served in the United States Army and retired from Beechcraft after 38 solid years. He loved driving down country roads checking on harvest, tinkering around in the garage, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Roma Rae Bonham; brother, Earl Bonham; and sister, Thelma Bonham.
Bert is survived by his sister, Twila Burk; son, Tony Bonham; daughter, Janet Bonham; granddaughters, Jana (Andrew) Porter and Dawn (John) Waller; and great-grandchildren, Remington Waller, Makinsey Waller, Reagan Waller, and Morgan Porter.
Funeral service for Bert will be held 2:00pm, Tuesday, March 1, 2022, with visitation 1 hour prior, both at Lakeview Funeral Home. Burial will take place following the service at Lakeview Cemetery in the Garden of Everlasting Life, 12100 E. 13th Street N., Wichita, Kansas 67206.
