She was born in Newton, Kansas on May 22, 1939, to John Ronald Daugherty and Dorothy Daugherty. Anna was the youngest of three daughters. She graduated from North High School in Wichita, Kansas and completed her nursing degree at St. Mary of the Plains College.
In 1960, she married Eldon Monroe McLemore in Wichita, Kansas, where together they raised 4 children, Eldonna, Melissa, Dana and Tim.
Anna worked as a registered nurse at St. Francis Hospital and St. Joseph Hospitals in Wichita, Kansas. She retired from the hospital, but maintained her nursing license while she volunteered working as a nurse at Wheat State camp for many years.
At Williamstown Assembly of God in Kansas, she and Eldon traveled visiting church members at home. Often times Anna would provide basic nursing care to those who were homebound.
She loved traveling with Eldon and researching their family genealogy. They traveled to all 50 states together. She also loved crafting: crocheting, and quilting. Her love for her children and grandchildren is evident in the many gifts she made for them and the cherished time she spent helping them with projects, babysitting or giving sage nursing advise.
