Allen was born November 16, 1952 in Independence, Kansas, the son of Harvey Lee and Eloise Marie (Anderson) Barnett. He grew up in the Wichita area and attended South High School. He finished with Job Core.
He worked several years for Via Christi Our Lady of the Lord and then was self-employed. He worked on cars and motorcycles, if someone needed a car, or mower, or cycle fixed, they looked to Allen for help in getting it running. He never turned anyone away that needed help. He always enjoyed helping people. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing.
Preceding Allen in death is his father, stepfather Gerald Stroud, and brothers Stewart Wayne Barnett and Ronald Ray Barnett.
Surviving family members include his mother Eloise, brothers Donald Barnett and his wife Lorie, and Terry Barnett and his wife Stephanie. Also surviving are nieces and nephews; Heather Borgstadt and her husband Ryan, Sheri Barnett, Stewart Williams, Dellarie Stamm and her husband Mike, Ashlee Valtinson and her husband Aaron, and Nathan Barnett and his wife Becky. He will be greatly missed.
