I truly wish peace for you and your family as you are going through this difficult time. We pray that God's love be with your family as you face this challenging time. He sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to comfort all who mourn (Isa 61: 1,2).

Abraham was one of my oldest and dearest friends. I met him when we were both working on the wing line at Cessna Aircraft Company in 1974. I was in college then and he was teaching high school math and chemistry. There were three of us who were only there for the summer, and we became fast friends. I asked Abe why he chose to spend his summer working in a factory. He explained that never in his life had he done manual labor, and he wanted to know what that was like. Right away I knew he was a very special person. 

Over the years we stayed in touch, having the occasional lunch. He loved discussing world events, especially those in the Middle East. He taught me so much history of the lands he knew so well -- Jerusalem, Palestine, Egypt, Jordan, and other places in which he had lived. 

My entire extended family loved Abe. He was always welcome at family gatherings and his presence made them more special. We had many friends in common and all gravitated toward Abe. He had such a warm smile and a good sense of humor. 

When Abe moved away from Wichita after the loss of his beloved Fadia, I did not see him again, but we still kept in touch. He loved to give me an update on his family, of whom he was so proud. Every conversation, every letter or email always started with a sharing of information about Ronda, Raymond and Eddie.

Abe was a fine man, so intelligent, so caring, so very dear to us all.  I feel privileged to have known him and to have been his friend for 42 years. My heart goes out to his family.

Abe was a wonderful man! I met Abe when I was a little boy, almost 40 years ago. He would let my family go to his land to cut Christmas trees for our holiday. Something I will always cherish from my childhood. Abe was a very good man and he made the world a better place. Goodbye Abe. You will be missed.

Although our family is a little broken right now, we are glad you are reunited with grandma again. We all know you are both watching over us everyday. I will never forget you, grandpa. This isn't goodbye forever...until we meet again.

I met Abraham Habash in 1983 when I began dating his son, Raymond Habash. I became his daughter-in-law in 1988. He and his wife, Fadia Habash (whom passed in 2011) were a second set of parents for me. I never had a father growing up and Abraham stepped into that role for me. It was such an interesting man and I very much enjoyed our talks together. He loved his children and grandchildren with all his heart and would give any one of them the shirt off his back. He will be greatly and terribly missed. God bless his soul until we meet with him and Fadia again.

What a wonderful teacher he was!  I remember him well from John Marshall.  My condolences to his family and friends.  May he rest in paradise.
