William “Bill” Carol Chandler was born on December 4, 1939, in Sapulpa, OK and passed away on April 27, 2022, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 82. His funeral service will be held in Wichita Falls, Texas on Monday, May 2, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home & Memorial Park with military honors. Viewing will be on Sunday, May 1, 2022, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home.
Bill was a 1957 graduate of Sapulpa High School, Sapulpa, OK. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1959 serving twenty years and retiring as a Master Sergeant on March 31, 1979. Over his twenty years of military service, Bill’s duty stations included Arizona, California, Japan and Sheppard Air Force Base, Wichita Falls, Texas. After leaving military service, Bill worked in accounting for Credit Bureau of North Texas for over ten years. In retirement, Bill enjoyed fishing, oil painting, walking, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Laing-Chandler of Yukon, OK; son Timothy Scott Chandler of Phoenix, AZ; stepsons Brad and Gayle Brents of Yukon, OK, and Todd and Joyce Brents of Boiling Springs, SC; aunt, Barbara and Bob Wasik of North Richland Hills, TX; nephew, Brett Chandler of Afton, AR; and seven grandchildren.
He is pre-deceased by his mother, Colleen Chandler; father, Claud Richard Chandler; brother, Rick Chandler; and wife, Naomi Chandler.
