Matt is survived by his parents, Sherry and Lester of Wichita Falls, brother, Carl and wife, Sabrina Rose, their son, Gavin Rose, Brett & Jacquelyn Wright, three uncles, four aunts, many cousins, Jennifer with step children, Tyler, Haylee, & Shaneah of Iowa park. He is preceded in death by all four grandparents and two uncles that passed on before his birth.
Matt was born on Dec 28, 1977 in Wichita Falls to Lester & Sherry Rose. He graduated from Iowa Park High School in 1997. He married Jennifer & the kids in June of 2018. Matt worked in the oilfields around Electra, Texas for a few years before moving on to be a mechanic for various trucking companies, then long haul truck driver, traveling the country coast to coast.
Matt loved to race cars and earned ‘Track Champion” in 2009 at Red River Raceway in Wichita Falls, Tx in the ‘mod 4’ class. Later enjoying his Harley and the rides around north Texas & southern Oklahoma. In the last few months much joy and many laughs were burned into our memories with the great card games we had as a family. Matt was always ready to play.
Visitation with the family is scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Sat. July 10th at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral home, with the funeral to follow at 2:00 P.M. Perry Walls, Wally McDowell, Tracer Johnson & Jevon Johnson as honorary pallbearers. Rodger Deerinwater will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Matt’s life.
