Larry Ray Beasley passed peacefully with family by his side on December 29th, 2020 at the age of 73. Larry was born on June 13th, 1947 to Billy Ray Beasley and Margaret Tylene Hankins Beasley in Wichita Falls, TX. He attended Wichita Falls High School and joined the army in 1967. He served in Vietnam and was honorably discharged in 1971. Larry had several professions as a licensed barber, oilfield worker as a truck driver, and a house painter.
Larry was very active in sports during his younger days and really enjoyed playing softball and boxing. He enjoyed watching all sports, especially nascar and watching westerns. He dearly loved his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and often would pick them up taking them on rides to the mountains, giving them candy and then taking them back home, and if you were the lucky one he was also known to get you out of school early just to go along. Larry was a wonderful friend to many and had lots of good friends over the years. He had a great sense of humor and always had a funny comment and making you laugh and loved teasing his grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, grandson Seth Layne Lewis, granddaughter Jennifer Norris, and niece Shonda Salazar. Larry is survived by his children Lori DeVore and husband Gary, Lisa Galliton and husband Jerry, Tiffany Lewis and husband Darren, Billy Beasley and wife Kristy, Roxe Ann Andrus and Levi Beasley. He is also survived by brother Jerry Beasley and wife Suzy, sister Sandra Reberger and husband John, aunt Lena Gurvin and aunt Gayle Ross as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews who all loved him dearly.
There will be a viewing on January 6th from 6 pm to 8:00 pm at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home Chapel, located at 1917 Archer City Hwy, Wichita Falls, TX 76302, and funeral services will be January 7th at 1 pm also at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Memorial Park.
