John Henry Moser, 86, passed away on June 25, 2017 in Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Faith Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Shields officiating. Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5:30 – 7:00 PM at Hampton Vaughan on Tuesday, June 27,2017.
John was born November 27, 1930 to Jacob and Louisa Moser in Byers, Texas. John attended schools in Byers, Texas and Henrietta, Texas. He married Shirley Jennings, his wife of 59 years on November 23, 1957 in Kerens, Texas. John worked for 38 years for TXU Electric where he held many positions during his career, he retired in 1992 as Distribution Maintenance and Construction Supervisor.
John loved woodworking, gardening and ranching. John was a Korean War veteran where he served in the Marines. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church Wichita Falls, TX and was a faithful volunteer in their Family Life Center (FLiC).
John was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Louisa Moser, three brothers, Raymond Moser, Herbert Moser and Robert Moser, and three sisters, Bernice Moser, Thelma Britt and Alvina Waggner.
He is survived by his loving wife Shirley Moser, two sons, Darryl Moser and his wife Tanya Moser and Alan Moser, a daughter Cheryl Ritchie and her husband Jeff Ritchie, two sisters, Dorothy Adams and Mary Lou Krodel, many nieces and nephews, six grandchildren; Mindy Moser and husband Mark Wynn, Mallory Moser, Mitchell Moser, Michael Moser, Justin Ritchie and wife Amanda, Blake Ritchie and wife Ariel and two great grandchildren, Clara Ritchie and Hazel Ritchie.
John was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather
