Joey Wilson

Joey Wilson, 54, of Holliday, Texas passed away Monday, January 21, 2013. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darryl Sewell of First Baptist Church of Holliday officiating. Interment will follow in Holliday Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

Joey was born on December 14, 1958 to Thomas L. Wilson and Nora Arredondo Wilson. He was a near lifelong resident of Holliday, TX and graduated High School there in 1978 He was Baptist by faith. He was employed at Magic Aire in the shipping department for the past 18 years. Joey was a big sports fan, especially of Wichita Falls Wildcats Hockey, but loved all sports,including local high school, college and semi-pro football.

Joey was preceded in death by his mother, Nora A. Wilson in 2012 and by his brother, Steve Wilson in 2001.

Survivors are his father, Thomas L. Wilson of Wichita Falls; sisters, Tammy Humpert and husband, Mike of Windthorst, TX and Terri Lambeth and husband, Terry of Saginaw, TX; nephew, Jake Wilson and wife, Chelsea; nieces, Ashley Wilson, Whitney Martischnig and husband, Jay, Mackenzie Humpert; 2 great nephews and 2 great nieces.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls, First Baptist Church of Holliday or to the Holliday V.F. D.
