Ina is survived by her daughter Carol Bushong of Iowa Park; grandchildren Tina Salazar Cook, Rhonda Salazar Decker, Philip Salazar, Michele Swanson, Pamela Metzner, Charles Salazar, Debbie Puckett Guthrie, Bob Puckett, Sr., Melissa Puckett Carrol, Kenneth Puckett, Jessie Puckett and Teresa Puckett Lackey; 25 great grandchildren, 40 great-great grandchildren and 3 great-great-great grandchildren.
Ina was preceded in death by her parents, James and Gladys Lane; husband, Gerald McAninch; daughter, Betty Lou Salazar; son-in-law, Eduardo Salazar, Sr.; brother, James Lane, Jr.; grandchildren, Ed Salazar, Jr. and John Salazar.
Ina was born on July 10, 1916 on a farm outside of Seymour, TX to James Lane and Gladys Bice. She married in 1932 and had two daughters, Betty Lou and Carol Jean. Ina was a member of the “Rosie the Riveter” movement as a welder on war ships during WWII. She shared this as one of the proudest times in her life. Ina also worked as a phone operator and an ICU nurse at Bethania Hospital. After working at Bethania for 20 years, she retired and continued to live in Wichita Falls.
She was a dedicated sister, wife, mother and grandmother. Ina was a member of Westside Baptist Church and was an amazing, generous, kind and gentle woman who helped create amazing memories with everyone around her.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at the Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM Wednesday morning. All are welcome to help us celebrate Ina’s life.
