Glenda Graham Thomas, 78, of Wichita Falls passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at a local hospice. Services have been scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 30, 2012 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Charlie Thomason. Entombment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park.
Glenda was born October 9, 1933 in Wichita Falls to Prentiss and Una Graham. She graduated from Wichita Falls Sr. High School in 1952. June 1, 1952 she married Charles Dean Thomas, Sr. at First Baptist Church in Wichita Falls and together they raised two children. She and her husband owned Thomas RV Sales for 53 years. Glenda was a member of Senior Junior Woman’s Forum where she served on the board many times. She also served on the board of Northside Girls Club. She was a member of Ladies Kiwanis and a leader of Camp Fire Girls and Cub Scouts, as well as a member of several local bridge clubs. She and her husband traveled the world over many times. Glenda was a member of Faith Village Church of Christ.
Mrs. Thomas is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Charles Thomas, Sr. in 2008; parents, Prentiss and Una Graham; son, Dean Thomas in 2003; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Otis and Roberta Thomas; and sister-in-law, Nancy Thomas Gamble.
Survivors include her devoted daughter, Tracy Thomas Cobb and Rich Lombardo of Wichita Falls; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Elsie Graham of Atlanta, GA; brother-in-law, Jake Thomas of Wichita Falls; two grandsons and their wives, Rusty and Jenni Cobb, Brady and Jennifer Cobb; three great-grandchildren, Dani, Jax, and Emily; and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and great-great nieces and great-great nephews; and her best Pal Ever, Hap.
Visitation will be held 3:00-5:00 p.m., Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls, Faith Mission, or Faith Refuge.
