Visitation will be held Saturday November 18, 2023 at 1 PM at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home.
Services will follow in the chapel at 2 PM with burial following in Crestview Memorial Park.
Mr. Jones was born April 7, 1932 in Manitou, OK to William Dewitt and Anna (Biggs) Jones. He married Carol Smith on October 13, 1980 in Wichita Falls, TX. He retired from the U.S. Air Force. The first 5 years of marriage he owned a marina at Lake Diversion. The next 15 years he spent driving buses for school districts, city busses, and tour busses. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion, VFW, Shriners, and the Masons. George was a well respected man who was loved by all and will be missed tremendously.
Preceded in death by his parents; sister, Loretta P. Marshall; son Jay Jones, and 1st wife, Reva Jones.
Survivors include, wife, Carol N. Jones; son, Casey Jones and wife Jan; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Jones; step son, Rick Shouse; step daughter, Debbie Mikowski and husband Ed; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.
