Cynthia Renee Chandler

Cynthia Renee Chandler, 55, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2013 in Las Vegas, NV. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 Friday evening at the funeral home.

Cynthia was born April 19, 1958 in Wichita Falls and moved to Garland, TX at the age of seven. She graduated from North Garland High School and moved back to Wichita Falls in 1977 to attend Midwestern State University and later attended Mountain View College and Southern Methodist University in Dallas and University of North Texas in Denton and Richland Community College in Dallas where she studied to become a set designer. She had resided in Las Vegas the past few years and was employed as a stage hand and set designer. Cynthia was Baptist by faith. She had a great passion for horses.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her son, Rhea Goodwin Peel and by her father, Royce Moorehead. Survivors include her husband, Robert Kennedy of Las Vegas, NV; her mother, Jackie Moorehead of Garland, TX; step-daughter, Fiona Kennedy of California; sister, Falecia Kenney of Las Vegas, NV; brothers; John Moorehead and Bobby Moorehead , both of Garland, TX and Jack Peel of Plano, TX; also numerous nieces and nephews.
