Carolyn Ann Allen

We mourn the loss of Carolyn Ann Allen. She was born in Shreveport. Louisiana on 09/03/1939 and passed away in Wichita Falls, Texas on 12/16/2024. Carolyn was very social and found immense joy spending time with family and friends creating cherished memories. She prioritized her life with God, family, work and friends. She very seldom met a stranger and had a great sense of humor. Something she definitely loved was the annual family vacations to the lake every summer and she loved her pets.

Carolyn was a very loving and dedicated wife of 55 years. She was a very loving and involved mother to her three children and all eight grandchildren were her “favorite. “

Carolyn was a loyal and dedicated worker for City National Bank in Wichita Falls for over 25 years and well respected by her coworkers.

After retirement Carolyn was very active with her church Floral Heights United Methodist in different capacities. She volunteered as a secretary and worked in the food pantry along side her husband Jesse.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband Jesse Allen, her father Ben Potter, her mother Lucy Potter, her brother James Potter and his wife Shirley and brother Robert Potter.

Carolyn is survived by her sister Betty Cross and husband Harold, sister-in-law Charlotte Potter, three children Kathy Bedrosian and husband Gary, Terri DeFore and husband Greg, Jeffrey Allen and wife Cheryl as well as 8 grandchildren Braden, Robert James, Zachary, Sarah, Katherine, John, Hillary and Alex. She’s also survived by two great grandchildren Addy and Roran.
