Candyce Kay Runnels Derrick

Candyce Kay Derrick, 54, of North Archer County, Texas passed away, Tuesday, July 12, 2011 in a local hospital. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, July 15, 2011 at the First Baptist Church of Archer City with Roger Deerinwater and Don Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Bowman Community Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 Thursday evening at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.

Candyce was born on September 26, 1956 in Snyder, Texas . She married Ray Derrick in Snyder on December 1, 1973 and they made their home in Archer County since 1985. Candyce was a member of the First Baptist Church of Archer City. She was a loving wife, mother and daughter and totally involved in and committed to the lives of all her family.

Candyce is survived by her husband, Ray Derrick, of North Archer County; daughters, Cristi Michelle Kellar and husband, Kevin, also of North Archer County, Cherri Renae Gound and husband, Gary, Ft. Riley, Kansas and Chasa Caye Derrick of North Archer County; parents, Burt and Kay Runnels of Archer City; grandchildren, Derrick Kellar, Olivia Kellar, Logan Kellar and Casey Gound. She was preceded in death by her brother, Barry Runnels in 2000.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Kellar, Gary Gound, Brad Runnels, Justin Pool, Lancer Hughes and Earl Hardy.
