Bonnie Faye Elliott

She was born on November 8, 1927, to Archer Joe Gholson and Flora Allen (Jones) Gholson. She was raised in Aspermont, Texas and graduated from Holliday High School in Holliday, Texas. She married Bill Elliott and they were married for 75 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wichita Falls, Texas, but before that attended Central Baptist Church for many years.

She was employed at General Mills of Wichita Falls until its closing in 1965. She was then employed at Whites Stores of Wichita Falls until the time of its closing in December, 1976.

The past ten years she resided in Mckinney, Texas to be closer to her son and daughter.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill Elliott, son-in-law Jay York, granddaughter Patricia Burke and siblings Clifford Gholson, Ray Gholson, Idell Burson, Margie Nowell and Laverne Fouts.

She leaves behind daughter Sue York of Mckinney, Texas, son Dale Elliott and wife Ann of Tyler, Texas, brother Mike Gholson of El Paso, Texas, grandchildren; Karen Howard of Wichita Falls, Texas, Caleb Elliott of Tyler, Texas, Douglas York of Rockvale, Tennessee and Carrie Ann (York) Cheshier of Mckinney, Texas, a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service for Bonnie will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Memorial Park, 1917 Archer City Highway, Wichita Falls, Texas.
