Born in Jersey City on July 8th, 1935, Robert spent much of his life in East Rutherford, NJ where he met and married the love of his life, Marilyn L. (Derrick) Heale, in 1965. They spent 41 magical years building a beautiful life together, and he helped raise her two daughters, Lucille M. Molnar of Whiting, NJ and Helen A. Molnar (deceased).
Traveling on many vacations and explorations, Robert and Marilyn finally settled in Whiting, NJ and after his wife’s death, Robert spent the rest of his life with his companion, Elizabeth A. (Durante) Bartolf (deceased), where he became a part of her family as a “Step in” Dad, to Jennifer L. Jacob of Lakehurst, NJ, and Julie L. Bartolf of Bricktown, NJ, and “Step in” Grandfather to Alexandra P. Jacob of Lakehurst, NJ.
Bob graduated from Rutherford High School in 1953, keeping in touch with his classmates and dear friends, trading stories of his adventures and vacations. Throughout his career as an Architectural Artist, he created scaled blueprint emergency exit plans for various companies and clients. He also spent 25 years of his later life working in the Deli Department for Super Foodtown.
Evidence of his very talented artistic ability has made its way throughout his family with a myriad of hand made Birthday and Holiday cards, sometimes intricate in detail and engineering, always with a character who often looks like himself in compromising situations and facial expressions that garnered a good laugh.
He was a kind, simple, talented, and funny guy who loved a dry, self-deprecating sense of humor and an intelligent conversation. He was always happy to lend a hand and generously gave of his time, care, and attention. He had a love of really good food, quality classical music, history, puzzles, art, engineering, and spending time with family and friends. He will be so very missed.
He is predeceased by his Mother, Evelyn (Hudson) Heale; Father, Nelson Heale; Beloved Wife, Marilyn L. (Derrick) Heale; Dearest Companion, Elizabeth A. (Durante) Bartolf; Dear Brother, Richard Heale & his Wife Janice; and Step-Daughter Helen A. Molnar.
A memorial gathering will be November 12, at 12pm from the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Rd. Whiting.
In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request considering a contribution to the Ocean County Artist's Guild, 22 Chestnut Avenue Island Heights, NJ 08732
