Evelyn Wright

Evelyn Wright, 89 of Whiting, NJ, passed away on Thursday October 21, 2021 at Whiting Healthcare Center. Evelyn was born in Whiting and was a lifelong resident. She was a retired shipping manager and was also a homemaker. Evelyn was a lifetime member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Whiting Fire Department. She loved bingo, Atlantic City and playing card games.

Evelyn was predeceased by her son’s Ernest and Richard Wright. She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years Harry Wright; her daughters Cheryl Sogness, Deborah Adams and Tammy Wright; her son Harry Wright; her sister Lorraine Thomas and also by her 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday October 25, 2021 from 7-9 pm at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home 115 Lacey Rd., Whiting, NJ 08759. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday October 26, 2021 at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at Old Whiting Cemetery County Rd 530 and Aster Pl. Whiting, NJ 08759.
