Mary Louise (Brahm) Goss, 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, February 5, 2024. She was born on June 21, 1937 to Bernice (Doot) and Frederick Brahm. She met and married Lyle, the love of her life for 60 years.
During the 1960’s, she was a strong advocate for the use of sign language for deaf students in the local school system. She graduated with her GED as an adult, and went on to become a Certified Massage Therapist, and practiced massage therapy for many years.
Mary Lou had an amazing green thumb, growing vegetables and flower gardens every year. She shared her plants and produce with everyone. She was a talented wood carver. In retirement years, she traveled with her husband to antique tractor shows in their motor home with their homemade doodlebug and hit and miss engines in tow.
She was a cherished friend to many and she “never met a stranger”. She will be very much missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Loving mother of Bonnie Monash (James Schairbaum - deceased), Guy Goss, Connie (Bruce) Rigsby, Karen (Kathy), Deborah (Michael) Kowalczyk. Beloved grandmother of eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Sylvia Clingan. Endeared sister-in-law of Tom Goss & Rita Groleau.
Mary Lou is preceded in death by her husband Lyle, son Guy, brother Norman Brahm and sister Evelyn Vowles.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at the Union Lake Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 1233 Union Lake Road in White Lake. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00am until the time of the service at 12:00pm.
