Mark J. Lapinski of Commerce Township, Michigan passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at 50 years of age.
Loving brother of Lori (Adam) Sparks, Meg (John) Rudolph and Ame Maloney. Proud uncle of Aydan, Avari, Gavin, Gabi, Jordan, Austin and Anaya. He is also survived by his extended Eickhoff family and his dear dog, Gordie. Sadly he is preceded in death by his parents, Paul (JoAnn Bolek) Lapinski and Nancy (Mike) Underwood.
Mark's favorite season was football season! He enjoyed Fantasy Football, Notre Dame, and the Detroit Lions...along with any game his players were in. He was an avid reader, a history buff, and a pop culture trivia master. If there was a movie line to be quoted, he knew it. He loved lake living. He was a great chef who enjoyed his grill and smoker, and he loved nothing more than to host his family to enjoy his enormous meals. He was the kindest, most giving person. He cared about every individual, and was an amazing gift giver and giver of time. "He was more reliable than Santa Claus." He was quick witted and the "king of sarcasm." His greatest joy was spending time with his nieces, nephews, and Gordie. A kinder and more generous soul would be hard to find. He lived his life to make others happy. He will be greatly missed.
Mark loved to feed everyone on game days (or any day). We’d like to invite you to enjoy a bite to eat in his memory, while supporting his family and celebrating his life. We will gather at Casey’s of Walled Lake 1003 E West Maple Rd, Walled Lake, Michigan 48390 from 12-3 on Sunday, October 13, 2024 on the patio. Come as you are and pop for minute or stay a while. We would love to have you.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Toys for Tots or The Open Door.
