It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Meg and Dave Bober, who have now been reunited in eternal peace. Dave passed away on 07/20/23 followed by his beloved wife Meg on 10/20/24.
Dave was born in Meriden, CT where he spent his life dedicated to his family and career. A proud veteran, he served his country with honor and went on to have a successful insurance career. Dave was known for his keen sense of humor, his unwavering kindness, and his passion for his beloved UConn Huskies, New York Yankees and football Giants.
Meg was born in Middletown, CT the love of Dave’s life and his partner in all things. Meg was a caring and compassionate individual, who shared a deep unconditional love of animals of any type. Her warmth and compassion extended beyond her love of animals, as she dedicated much of her life to her and time to helping those in need.
Together, Meg and Dave shared a life that spanned over 49 years of marriage, filled with many travel adventures be it on a cruise, a ride to the Cape or a trip to Disney. Their lives were filled with laughter and unwavering support for one another. They shared a love of music, Jimmy Buffet and Beach boys being just a couple of their favorites. Dave and Meg are reunited listening to their favorite playlist and having a glass of red wine.
They leave behind daughter Amanda Amendt and her husband Matt; son Derek Bober and wife Sarah and their children Kaydence and Keegan; in addition, sisters Gretchen McInvale and Heidi Dirgins and her husband Dave, brother William Hertler and several nieces and nephews. Meg was predeceased by her sister Pamela Berube.
Though they are no longer with us in body, Meg and Dave’s spirits will forever live on in the hearts of their loved ones. Rest in peace, Meg and Dave. You will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
A joint private celebration of life will be held at a future date.
