Kenneth “Kenny” Martin King, age 75, of White Lake, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2023, in Commerce Township. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Paulette; his two daughters: Annette Raymer and Krystle (Jeff) Palm; his three grandchildren: Richard Raymer, Kenneth Raymer, and Kieron Palm; his two great-granddaughters: Sophia and Tallulah Raymer; and his sister, Deborah (Thomas Armstrong) Collins.
Kenny was born March 3, 1948, in Hamtramck, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Clyde and Alfreda (Sitkiewicz) King. He and the love of his life, Paulette Paul, were introduced at work. They started dating, and were eventually married on October 29, 1977. Kenny proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War from 1965 until 1969 as a Radio Operator. Upon his honorable discharge, Kenny returned to Michigan to begin his thirty year career as a welder and millwright in the automotive industry; working at General Motors and Delphi until his retirement in 2007. In his free time, Kenny greatly enjoyed traveling, and loved taking casino trips with his family. He was a wonderful man who will be dearly missed.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Alfreda; his sister, Carol Karpinkski; and great-granddaughter, Olivia Raymer.
A Funeral Mass will take place at 11:00 am on Friday, September 8, 2023, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 9086 Hutchins Road, White Lake, Michigan 48386. Kenny’s family will receive visitors at church on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of Mass at 11:00 am. A burial will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
