Jean Ellen Sorensen

Jean Ellen Sorensen, age 74, of Waterford, Michigan, was born October 13, 1947 in The Bronx, New York, and passed away peacefully July 23, 2022 at her home. Jean followed the tracks of her tears to Detroit in the 1960s (in her “hippie-dippy days”) to be near the Motown sound that inspired her. She spent her life enriching others with her kindness, wit, and dark humor. Loving mother of Elizabeth Sorensen and Erika (Paul) Sorensen-Weinberg. Dear sister of Carolyn (William) Moore and Susie Soto. Cherished friend of Nancy Morey and other artisans with whom she crafted to her heart’s content. Admired colleague to agents, artists, and fellow promoters within the music industry. Jean will be missed by her granddog, Odul, and her grandcat, Peanut. Jean was preceded in passing by her parents, Herman Lefkoff and Mattie E. Reilly. The world could never contain Jeanne’s rapturous song. She is now cruisin’ among happy little trees and marmalade skies. Ground control must let her go.
