James Edwin Bilicki, age 69, of White Lake, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at Huron Valley Sinai Hospital. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Debora; his two sons: Brian (Margaret) Bilicki, and Kevin Bilicki; his sister, Joanne (Bill) Huston; and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
James was born March 29, 1952, in Pontiac, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Chester and Mamie (Przedwojewski) Bilicki. James received a degree in engineering from Michigan Tech, graduating with the class of 1974. He then went on to become a civil engineer at Ric-Man Construction, where he worked for twenty-one years. James continued to work for a number of different contracting firms over the years, retiring in October of 2021. In his free time, James was an avid model railroader, enjoyed woodworking and many other do-it-yourself projects both in and outdoors. James was very active in the Cub Scouts when his sons were growing up, and was a Cub Master of Pack 316 for many years. James was a history buff by nature; and especially loved to follow Michigan and World War II history. He was a wonderful man and father who will be dearly missed.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Mamie; his son, Jonathon Bilicki; and his sister, Carol Ann.
In accordance with James’s wishes, cremation will take place. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at the Union Lake Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 1233 Union Lake Road, White Lake, Michigan 48386. James’s family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:00 pm until the time of service at 5:00 pm.
