Bruce Larry Kargol, age 72, passed away at Trinity Health in Howell, Michigan, on Tuesday, December 10, 2024. Bruce, a bit of an introvert, fell in love with computers in the 1970's and never looked back. He and his dad drove to Ohio to pick up a kit to put together one of the very first home computers in Michigan, a Commodore computer. Bruce went on to Community College taking all the computer classes available at that time, going to talks and lectures, learning all he could. He went on to work on Atari, Apple and Hewlett Packard computers, just to name a few. Bruce took a job with his future brother-in-law at Lyceum Computers as an expert in computer service and then went on to EDS working in computer security. He was truly the ‘Computer Guy!’
Bruce was predeceased by his loving parents, John and Dolores (Sobieski) Kargol, and his brother, David Kargol. He was also predeceased by his Danish son Jesper Henrikson, a high school exchange student from Denmark who came to stay for 11 months but quickly became a member of the family for many years. Bruce is survived by his devoted wife, Milagros (Custodio) Kargol, his cherished sisters Laura Sygit, Paula (William) Casey, Pamela (James) Miller, nephews Robert Sygit, Russell (Keely) Hapanowicz, Jamie Hapanowicz, Jonathan (Cara) Hapanowicz, David Jason Kargol, Mick Kargol, James Patrick (Rachel) Miller, John Chase Miller, Spencer Miller, Jack Miller, and great nephews: Robert Sygit Jr, Cash and Cruz Hapanowicz and great niece Elizabeth Florence Miller and many members of his extended family.
