Beatrice A Maki

Beatrice ( Bea) A. Maki, 90, a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on March 30, 2025. She is survived by her husband Leo of over 72 years; two daughters, Sheila (husband Michael) and Diane (husband Harold); one grandson, Austin; three granddaughters, Stephanie, Sheree, and Brittany; three great grandchildren, Shelise, Jaiden, and Jaxson.

She was born February 26, 1935, to Frank and Maude Bayliss in the Township of Troy, Michigan. She always spoke fondly of her parents, seven brothers, and two sisters. She was the 10th child, the baby, as they would say.

Bea was a loving friend to everyone and had a strong faith in God. She loved to cook, baking was her passion. She enjoyed gardening and the outdoors. Bea was a very generous person who would go above and beyond to help anyone in need. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her laughter, and her warm embrace.

She will be missed by many and in our hearts forever.

A visitation for Beatrice will be held Monday, April 7, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 1233 Union Lake Road, White Lake, Michigan 48386.

A memorial service will occur on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Commerce United Methodist Church, 1155 N. Commerce Road, Commerce Township, Michigan 48382, with a 10:00 AM gathering hour before the service. Following the service, a luncheon will be at Commerce United Methodist Church.
