Audrey was born on February 7, 1935, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Audrey and Agatha (Bibb) Owen. After moving from Oklahoma to Michigan in 1974, Audrey worked as a union organizer for the International UAW for twenty-five years until her retirement in the late 1990’s. She was also a tremendous advocate for workers’ rights and mentally handicapped individuals throughout her life. In her free time, Audrey loved to read, and she closely studied her family’s genealogy records. She also enjoyed organizing her high school class reunions, and would travel back to her hometown in Oklahoma to attend the events. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Audrey was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Robert Lee, who died in 1957; her second husband, Jack Parman, who died in 2017; and her parents, Audrey and Agatha.
