Joseph was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force for over twenty years, where he worked in administration. After retiring from military service, Joseph transitioned to a career in journalism, contributing his talents to several newspapers. Outside of work, he was known for his infectious sense of humor, love of music, and passion for travel.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his two sons, Greg Boudreaux and wife, Alison and Brian Sotile and wife, Rosemary; five grandchildren, Chance Boudreaux, Brennan Boudreaux, Miranda Sotile, Travis Mette and Trevor Mette; two great grandchildren, Beckett Boudreaux and Marleigh Boudreaux and his son-in-law, Vic Mette.
He is preceded in death by his wife Shirley Hymel Sotile; one daughter, Kathy Sotile Mette; parents, Michael and Lena Delouise Sotile and one brother, Charles Sotile.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024 at 10am at the Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church Mausoleum.
