Shirley graduated from South High School in 1944. She was very active in the Eastern Star twice serving as Worthey Matron. Shirley worked for Community Chest for several years and Woodman of the World Insurance Co. for approximately 33 years. She attended Lakewood United Methodist Church. Shirley was a resident at "The Bridge" Assisted Living home in Lawrenceville, GA at the time of her death.
Shirley is survived by a family that loved her very much - a brother Herbert A. Shaffer and his wife Jeanette, of Lawrenceville, GA, two nieces, Luanne Shaffer Collins and husband Andy, their two children Matthew Collins and Laura Collins of Dallas, Texas - Sheryl Shaffer Evatt and husband Don and their two children, Daniel and Stephen Evatt of Suwanee, GA.
