Shirley Jean Mullins passed away on September 27, 2022, after a lengthy illness. Born on October 17, 1937, in Fort Scott, Kansas. Shirley follows her mother Edith Culp and her Brothers John Culp, Chris Culp, Harold Culp, Fred Culp, and Lee Culp. Shirley survived by her Brother Paul Culp, husband Lawrence Mullins, son David Mullins, daughter Deborah Celli, granddaughter’s Caitlin (Solace) Vemai and Joanna Fischer and two great grandsons Achilles J(AJ) and Aaron Fischer-Holtz. She has nephews and nieces still living across the country. Shirley grew up in Fort Scott, Kansas and attended school there. She went to Ashland, Ohio to attend Ashland College and it is there that she met her husband Lawrence when he traveled with the Brethren Youth team.
Shirley enjoyed sewing, she made dresses for her daughter and her friend’s daughters. Shirley also enjoyed camping with friends and family, she was also an avid reader and would not put down a book until she had finished it. Shirley’s love for God, shown in her life through her work in women’s and children’s miniseries. She served in most of the churches that she attended.
Shirley and Larry were married on April 11, 1959, in Reno, Nevada and were married for 63 years.
