     About 10 years ago, Shirley was our upstairs neighbor in Evergreen....we met at our community pizza parties and shared tea on occasion....but we became wonderful pen pals after my husband and I moved away to Arizona.

     We learned so much more about each other. Our monthly letters revealed memories of the past and news of our families.......I loved to share our many excursions.... which turned out to be places Shirley had been to in her lifetime...which gave her much pleasure to read about.  I so looked forward to hearing from her....She was a breath of fresh air...and knowing how long she had been on this earth with her wonderful outlook on life....well....she was a true inspiration and a wonderful friend.  I will truly miss her. 

    And to her family....may you find peace in the wonderful memories that Shirley has left behind...........our deepest sympathy to you all.

     

Shirley Foley was my Aunt. She was married to my mom’s brother Tom.  She was a wonderful and sweet lady.  Growing up we saw them often when our family would drive to Spokane or to there home in Idaho.  She was the last of the  Foleys in that generation . She will be missed.
