She knew as a Christian she would be warmly received in heaven by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Pamela was born September 9, 1945 in Rochester, Michigan to Floyd and Dorothy (Lemon) Parker. She earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Central Michigan University of which she was a proud alumna. Her career spanned the fields of teaching, counseling, retail, and finance. Her most recent positions were as an accounting clerk.
A resident of greater Denver for over forty years, Pamela loved the mountains and culture of the region. She believed that people should never stop learning and she lived this credo by regularly attending continuing education classes across a wide variety of professional and personal interests. As an Avon independent sales representative for her entire adult life, she loved to meet and help new people. For many years, she was active in Lakewood Elks #1777 and held many offices in the Ladies Auxiliary. She was a devoted member of Landmark Tabernacle in Denver. Known for the hats she wore and her wide smile, she will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
Pamela was preceded in death by her parents Floyd and Dorothy Parker. She is survived by her sister Jennifer Jones of Grant, Michigan; her nephews Joseph Jones of Kent City, Michigan; Michael (Amanda) Jones of Shelby, Michigan; David (Brenda) Jones of Grant, Michigan; and Adam Jones of Marquette, Michigan; and 11 grand-nephews and nieces. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters in Christ and her work family.
A memorial service will be held at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cemetery at 10 am on March 4, 2022. Family will receive guests prior to the service with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Pamela’s honor to her church, Landmark Tabernacle of Denver.
