Matt Charles Chambers attended Cherry Creek High School and graduated from Metro State University in Denver, CO with a Bachelor of Communication Sciences in 2008. He was the recipient of the Metro State University Student Performance Grant for Academic Merit.
Matt worked in the hospitality business, working at several iconic Denver restaurants, such as the Rio Grande and the Cherry Cricket. He was also a scientific glass blower, working with nitrogen.
Matt’s real passion was remote control car building and racing. This fit all his engineering and public relations skills that he had acquired over his life. Matt started racing at MHOR remote control racetrack in the Denver area at the age of 12 and built a huge community and fan following over the many years that he built and raced remote control cars. At 19, Matt became the youngest person to ever win the ROAR National Championship. He traveled and competed in remote control car races domestically and internationally, representing and being sponsored by the industry’s largest manufacturers. He was featured in numerous remote control racing podcasts, magazines, television clips, You Tube videos, and radio. He was widely admired and adored and was highly regarded for helping new or younger drivers set up their cars, giving them driving tips, encouraging them in their practice, and being incredibly generous with his gear, time, knowledge, and heart-felt compassion.
