One day in 1952, Mary and her friend were driving in Greeley when she spotted a handsome air force man standing on the corner. They stopped in hopes of find a date to the dance. Little did she know, she would spend over 60 years loving him until he passed away in 2014.
John and Mary Ann married in February 1953 and together they had three children, Patricia Ann, Michael John and Thomas Edward.
Mary Ann was a devoted wife and mother, exceptional seamstress, and she will be truly missed. She made sewing her favorite hobby, making anything and everything she could. She made dresses out of her husbands shirt for her daughter, Patricia, curtains, suits, table linens, and recently even masks. She loved card games and a good margarita.
Mary Ann is survived by her children Patricia Ann, Michael John and Thomas (Regina Rose) Edward; grandchildren Christopher Adams, Brett Hallisey, Nichole Hallisey, Amanda Marie (Joe) Rovere, Rebecca Rose (Ryan) Borman; great grandchildren Aiden Stewart, Austin Stewart, Emma Stewart, Eli Rovere, and Zoe Rovere.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, John Hallisey; parents Elbert and Mary Kelley; sister Dolores Crisp.
A private burial is to take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
